COURSE CONDITIONS 2/28/14

This has been sort of an unusual weather week.  It snowed on Tuesday morning and melted in the afternoon and then it snowed again on Wednesday. It wasn't very much but enough to close the golf course (and make the am commute miserable). At this point, the majority of the snow has melted.  There are a few shaded areas with small patches of snow but they shouldn't be a problem.  We were able to open the golf course today and plan to open both days this weekend.  It is still very wet out there although it is not soft like last weekend...everything is frozen solid now.  Still, expect carts to be restricted to the paths only.  The bunkers are frozen solid so, despite our best efforts, we were unable to rake the sand.

The weather should be decent this weekend with the high on Saturday reaching close to 50° and then on Sunday in the upper 50°s.  A frost is likely both days but with any luck it will melt before the 10 am shotgun.

The meteorologists can't seem to get their story straight but it seems we may be in for more winter weather on Monday and continued cold temperatures throughout the week.
