COURSE CONDITIONS 3/28/14

As you likely know, we received between 3" and 4" of snow earlier in the week.  It melted on Wednesday and Thursday and, although it is fairly wet, we were able to perform some maintenance operations and open your golf course today.  The cups were changed, greens rolled and bunkers raked.  Rain and wind are in the forecast for the weekend so conditions will probably not be ideal for golf but the course is as ready as it can be.

Fairway and tee aerification are on the schedule for next week.  The plan is to start on Monday but, depending on the rainfall this weekend, the aerification may be postponed if conditions are not suitable.

Greens aerification is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday April 7 & 8.

Other maintenance operations on the horizon are bunker edging, mulch installation, lime application in the primary roughs, and poa seed head suppression application on the greens. Again, weather and other conditions must be right for several of these items so delays are likely if we get the rain that is in the forecast. At least it is starting to warm up a little bit.
