The crew is making progress on #14 tee. In the image below, the crew is digging up the irrigation piping and wire, digging a deeper trench and then burying the pipes deeper so that grading and excavation work can start without damaging the system.
Below, the excavation and regrading has started. The new tee will be a bit smaller than before but will be raised several inches to help combat the drainage issues. Generally, smaller is not better, especially on a par 3 tee, but some of the teeing ground will be sacrificed in order gain the soil to build up the base. A slightly smaller tee with proper drainage and surface grade is a huge improvement over the big wet tee that is being replaced.
