The new landscape installation in front of the proshop and around the new patio began today. They should wrap up the plant and sod installation tomorrow. The lighting and irrigation installation will begin on Friday if the thunderstorms hold off.
The proshop beds are nice mix of shrubs, to offer year-around interest, and several layers of perennial and annual flowers to add spring, summer, and fall color.
The patio beds are less interesting, in terms of color, than the proshop beds. The real focal point is the stone wall so a simple boxwood hedge row was planted to "soften" the hard edges of the wall but the shrubs were planted with adequate spacing as to not detract from the stone work.
Several "splashes" of color from annual flowers will be installed after the risk of frost has passed (usually in mid-May).
