COURSE CONDITIONS - 2/23/15

After a weekend of shoveling your driveways and sidewalks and trying to navigate the snow covered streets, I am sure it will not come as a surprise to any you that your golf course is covered in snow.  A lot of snow. About 8" accumulated over the weekend. Combined with 4" or 5" from earlier in the week there is over a foot of snow on your golf course. There has been some drifting so, strangely enough, there are some areas that grass can seen and others with a couple feet or more piled up.

Earlier in the week, before the snow started falling, it was quite windy resulting in the loss of 2 pine trees.  One stood to the right of #9 tee and the other on the left of #17 fairway. Once the snow melts, I expect to find more broken limbs and other debris that will require the attention of the maintenance crew.

Unfortunately, the temperatures in the 10 day forecast do not offer much hope for a quick melt but your golf course maintenance staff is ready to get busy cleaning the golf course up and preparing it to open as soon as the weather decides to cooperate.
