It's not everyday you see a boat on "Chantilly Lake" but if you were on the golf course today you may have seen one. As part of the dam permit requirements, the engineers were performing a Bathymetric survey utilizing GPS and Sonar technology to map the topography of the lake bed. In layman's terms, they were simply mapping the lake bottom to, among other things, determine the total watering hold capacity.
