As I promised in a previous post, the par 3 tees were injected with sand earlier in the week. The machine, called a Dryjetct, uses high pressure water to blast sand into the soil profile. We injected a little over 10 tons of sand on your par 3 tees tees. That equates to roughly 500# of sand added per 1000 sq. ft.
The goal is to break through the compacted earth and leave sand channels to allow air to reach the roots and encourage the tee surface to drain.
