Earlier in the week, while studying the weather forecast, I was very optimistic about the potential for significant snow melt this week. The warm weather and rain (.8" yesterday) did melt
A LOT of snow but as you will see in the images below there is still quite a bit out there.
At this point, with the amount of snow that is still on the ground and the forecasted sub-freezing overnight temperatures for the next few days, I am less optimistic about getting the golf course open this weekend.
As always, the golf course conditions will be evaluated daily and any changes/updates will be posted to this blog in Quick Update section and the course information line (703-631-9560 option 5).
